Summer Food Service Program
We travel to ten different neighborhoods to provide lunch to children, Monday-Friday, all summer long while they're out of school.
One route is covered by one of our vans and provides a sack lunch to children in those six neighborhoods. The other route is served by our food truck, providing a warm lunch to the children in those four neighborhoods. We serve only children and youth, no adults.

Chefs' Challenge 2025
Save the date for our upcoming 2025 Chefs' Challenge! This Iron Chef style event will pit returning champion, Adam Noffsinger of Michael's Uptown Cafe against Eric Bueno of IU and Michael Worden of Story Inn. They will be challenged to use a secret ingredient, revealed at the beginning of competition, to make a main dish to be judged by our panel of distinguished judges. The winner will take home the Golden Spatula!
This year's event will be held at One World at Woolery Mill. Attendees will enjoy with the competition, a full dinner: salad, appetizers, a small portion of each chef's creation and dessert. Thanksgiving Dinner
Community Kitchen will serve a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner from 3-6pm at our 1515 S Rogers St main location and our 1100 W 11th St Express location on Thanksgiving Day (11/28).
In addition to dinner, we will provide bags of groceries.
Volunteer spots are all full. Food donations are still welcome:

Purchase a dozen delicious holiday cookies to support Community Kitchen's hunger relief efforts. Each dozen includes four each of three kinds of cookies: chocolate chip, snickerdoodle and chocolate crackle. Orders will be picked up from noon-3pm on either Sat, Dec 14th or Sun, Dec 15th from Community Kitchen at 1515 S Rogers St. You must choose a pick up date at checkout.
